Gobs of V-Day Goodies

This year was our first Valentine's Day together so I baked my heart out.

A couple days early I made cookies for my CTR 4 boys

and for my mom to give to her visiting teachees

Yes I wrote the boys names on theirs, unfortunately Zack, the only boy's cookie you can see in the picture above wasn't there... so I had to eat his on the way home from church.

My mom was adamant that we set up a photo shoot for the cookies

Monday morning I TRIED to make pink heart shaped chocolate chip pancakes for John but ended up with brownish heart blobs.  But they were still yummy.  :)

I finally put to use the "Hello Cupcake" book Heidi got my for my birthday!

John took me to WoodRanch for dinner, where we had our first date.

It ended up being a perfect day.

So.... Sew!

I've been working on a few projects lately.  Trying to figure out my new sewing machine and putting it to good use.  John got a couple chairs from his grandmother that need to be recovered so he gave that job to me.  Can you say boring!  I like sewing, but half the fun is you have a cute little thing to show off or decorate once you're done.  Plain white slip covers, not so much cute, as tedious.  So I've been doing some throw pillows too!

And I got to use one of my sewing machine's special features to personalize John's shooting bag.
